WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW IN CASE YOU NEED A CERTIFIED TRANSLATION
Depending on the purpose, you may need the original document or an authenticated copy of the document.
If the certified translation is to be used in Portugal, we make the Translation Certification valid for documents to be used in our country.
If the certified translation is to be used in other countries that are party to the Hague Convention, we add the step of internationalizing it.
If the destination country is not party to the Convention, another type of additional certification may be necessary.
You should check with the requesting entity which type of certification is required.
Documents commonly translated and certified by Tecnilíngua:
Power of attorney, certificates, certified copies, records, minutes, sentences, certificates of incorporation, birth certificates, marriage certificates, death certificates, deeds, life certificates, proof of residence, parental authority agreements, education certificates, CVs, contracts, permits, declarations, supporting documents, etc. -
What about AI? Well, it may speed up some copied content, but every human recognises its robotic origins, literal and stuck to the original. It is a tool, not a solution. It is not sensitive, it is not empathetic; it is not acculturated, specialised or creative. This is where HI (i.e., Human Intelligence) comes into its own, showing the result of millions of years of evolution of synapses, human relations and study. To make us smile rather than laugh. Born and raised in Gaia, Carla has always been a scholar of words in her own and other languages.
Driven by this passion, completed a degree in Translation and Interpreting University at the Invicta Cidade do Porto and opened an office on the other side of the bridge:
Portus and Cale, the origin.
On March 4, 1994, under the dual auspices of art and humanitarian ends and the perfectionism of Generation X. And the encouragement of her father, Júlio Barba-Rôxa, entrepreneur, from whom she inherited the honour of work. Here stands the tribute.
From manager to translator, proofreader and interpreter, she has been the beating heart of Tecnilíngua for over 30 years.
From the era of the fax and modem to the age of the internet and globalisation.
A natural and incessant seeker, her continuous professional training and visits to international conferences have kept the company updated and always one step ahead.
Networking at international conferences also led to technological innovation and cross-border and multilingual partnerships. At the forefront of MT, NMT, AT, AI, from the very beginning, our greatest asset continues to shine in our Human Resources, who only have a place here through Excellence. The Wordsmith’s Apprentice
Born and raised in Gaia, but in the energy of Gen Z, with high adaptability to technology, hand in glove with the internet and the digital world.
His pragmatic and realistic nature, combined with multitasking versatility, enriches the work and envisions the security of the future.
With a diploma in Information Technology and Systems, he is currently studying Translation in the eponymous city of the wine whose grapes his ancestors cultivated, in the Douro region.
